More than 40 billion video tapes have been manufactured in the United States over the past four decades. Over 10 billion were used for personal video recording. Refurbished and used electronics markets are the only places where these devices can be found. Eventually, through use and obsolescence, there will be no functioning tape players left to play video tapes!
